Christopher Finney, armed with knife, walks into home, threatens couple, police say
A man with a knife walked into a home through an unlocked door and threatened a couple inside, officials said.
Christopher M.R. Finney was holding an open folding knife with a four-inch blade in his right hand which he used to threaten Michael and Sonja Pasavento after entering their home at 48 East North St., Bethlehem, at about 5:50 p.m. Wednesday, officials said.
Michael Pasavento was able to pin Finney between the door and a screen door, causing Finney to drop the knife and leave a few moments later, officials said, adding Finney was taken into custody outside the residence.
Finney was arraigned on charges of burglary, making terroristic threats, possessing an instrument of crime and assault and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $10,000 bail, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. May 24.
