Corbin Bernsen to film movie in Bethlehem

Star will be in town over weekend to scout locations

There's some exciting news coming to Bethlehem.

A feature film that puts the Steel City in the spotlight is being produced and created in the area.

Actor and producer Corbin Bernsen, who you may know from "Major League" or "LA Law," called in to the 69 News at Sunrise show Thursday morning to talk a little bit about the film.

Bernsen said he plans to be in town this weekend to scout locations. He said he expects the community to become involved.

So what's the movie about? According to, here's the plot summary:

Bethlehem is the fictional story of a high school football team set against the very real backdrop of the 1980s steel crisis in small town Pennsylvania.

After the death of his father, Danny Talbot is guided by his grandfather, football coach Keith Talbot, as he begins the journey inside of himself to find his place amongst the broader landscape of a very uncertain time in America.

Along with his hardworking mother and stubborn bar-owning uncle, Danny finds through the game he loves, that it's about where you come from. That love might not only unite a team, but reunite a family.
