EAST ALLEN TWP., Pa. -

Firefighters battled flames at a home Tuesday night.

The fire was reported at 5838 Pheasant Road, East Allen Township, Northampton County just before 10 p.m. as a two-alarm structure fire.

The fire chief said the fire started in the kitchen area of the home.

He said the home sustained about $100,000 worth of damage and is inhabitable.

One person was treated for smoke inhalation at a local hospital, but was released.

A dog was rescued from a second floor bedroom and is okay.

Officials say the fire is still under investigation.
