EASTON, Pa. -

A drive-by shooting in Easton left one female injured Monday afternoon.

The shooting happened in the 1200 block of Washington Street around 3:30 p.m.

The victim, a 43 year-old female, suffered a slight graze wound to her neck, according to Lt. Matthew Gerould of Easton Police. She was treated and released from the hospital.

Police say she was in a house in the 1200 block of Washington Street when the shooting, which involved two cars, began. Several rounds penetrated the house that she was in. Police do not think she was involved.

"We believe there was a dispute and two vehicles might have been shooting at each other or one vehicle shooting at another," Gerould said.

Meanwhile there was a second scene at 14th and Lehigh streets. Shots were fired there but nobody was hurt.

"At this point we're investigating two possible shootings that are connected, looking for two different vehicles being one black Acura and one black Jaguar with tinted windows fleeing the scene," Gerould said.

The suspected black Acura was stopped by Palmer Police and given to Easton Police for processing and investigation.

A black Jaguar thought to be the suspected, involved vehicle was recovered by police later Monday in the unit block of North 7th Street. Police believe the Jaguar had fled the scene south on 12th Street towards Butler Street.

Police say they will run forensic processing to determine if the Jaguar they found Monday night is indeed the exact car.

The shooting happened less than a half-mile from the scene of another gunfire incident that happened early Sunday morning at Ninth and Ferry streets.

In that case, police say someone fired shots that hit a car and a home.

Last month, just a few blocks away at 15th and Washington streets in Wilson Borough, two men were shot on a front porch.
