LOWER NAZARETH TWP., Pa. -

A woman found to be driving drunk nearly hit a police car early Friday, police said.

Police said the driver was 36-year-old Jamie Lynn Rummel, of the 2000 block of Hemlock Farms, Lords Valley, Blooming Grove Township, Pike County.

She was driving in the right lane of Route 33 southbound near Route 248 in Lower Nazareth Twp., Northampton County around 3:30 a.m. when she drove into the left lane, nearly hitting a patrol car.

When the officer pulled her over, Rummel was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol, police said.

She was taken to the Easton DUI center to give a blood sample for testing.

After test results are in, charges will be filed.
