If you're heading to the Easton-Freedom high school football game on Friday, plan to leave your backpack or large bag at home.

According to the Easton Area School District Superintendent John Reinhart, the district will begin to enforce this ban at Friday's game.

Anyone attempting to bring in these items will be turned away, Reinhart said.

Adults who need to bring items for younger children or needs for older citizens can bring the items in a clear plastic zip lock bag, officials said.

"If circumstances require that a bag be brought into the stadium, please be prepared to have it searched," Reinhart said.

The ban will remain in effect for all future athletic competitions for the rest of the school year.
