EASTON, Pa. -

Firefighters in Easton want to make sure needy kids in the city stay warm this winter.

Members of the Easton firefighters' union are serving as guest bartenders to raise money for the purchase of new coats for needy students in the Easton School District.

"They're kids in need who may not be able to afford a brand new coat; maybe they've never even had a brand new coat," said James Corcoran, Easton firefighters union.

The firefighters are holding the fundraisers each Tuesday in September from 5 to 7 p.m. at Rival's Sports Bar and Restaurant at 5 Lehns Court.

Donations can also be made on Facebook by visiting the "Easton Firefighters Coats for Kids" page.
