EASTON, Pa. -

No good deed goes unpunished, according to one Easton woman.

Easton police said the 30-year-old woman was walking in the area of 12th and Spring Garden streets in the city around 11:45 p.m. Thursday when she was approached by three black men.

One asked her for a cigarette, and when she gave him one, he grabbed her purse and the three ran south on 12th toward Northampton Street, police said.

The woman wasn't hurt, and a passerby stopped to help her after the incident.

The men are all described as being 18 to 20 years old. The one who grabbed the purse was wearing a white shirt and athletic shorts, and had shoulder length dreadlocks.
