BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

A New Jersey man bloodied a woman's face and knocked loose some of her teeth during an altercation in a Bethlehem hotel lobby, officials said.

Andrew C. Barone punched Cindy Wildgen in the face and slammed her head against a wall as she and her boyfriend were trying to board an elevator in the lobby of the Hyatt Place Hotel, 45 West North St., Bethlehem, around 3:15 a.m. Sunday, officials said.

Wildgen's boyfriend, Emmanuel Ortiz, told police Barone made his way on to the elevator and was standing over Wildgen and yelling at her after the attack.

Wildgen told police the dust-up began after a group of men, including Barone, was trying to fight her and Ortiz in the lobby before they tried to get into the elevator.

Court papers do not say why the men wanted to fight with Wildgen and Ortiz, or if any of men knew the couple.

Wildgen had cuts on the bottom of her lip and complained about some of her teeth being loose when police arrived.

Barone, 25, of Hoboken, N.J., was arraigned on charges of assault and harassment and released on $15,000 unsecured bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. Sept. 27.
