ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

A fire caused substantial damage to a home in Allentown on Friday night.

Officials say the fire broke out around 9:30 p.m. in the attic of a home on the 2300 block of Fairview Street.

Crews needed about 30 minutes to bring the fire under control.

No injuries were reported.

The home is currently unoccupied due to fire and smoke damage, officials said.

As of early Saturday morning, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Officials say the fire was contained to the attic of the home.
