ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

A former Parkland High School football standout will head to trial to face felony drug charges.

Austin Scott, who also played for Penn State, waived his preliminary hearing Tuesday.

Court documents say the 28-year-old Scott, of 2118 W. Allen Street, Allentown, sold marijuana to undercover officers four separate times in July, September and October at various locations in South Whitehall Twp. and Allentown.

According to court documents, he faces nine counts of felony drug charges for manufacturing, delivering or possession with the intent to manufacture or deliver.

He's also charged with criminal use of a communication facility.

Scott was kicked off Penn State's team in 2007 after being charged with rape. That charge was eventually dropped.

He's free on $10,000 bail.
