ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

A 3-year-old who almost drowned in the Jordan Creek is alive thanks to two Good Samaritans and a police officer.

The boy was rescued from the Jordan Creek near the dam in Jordan Park around 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Allentown police said.

The boy fell into the creek and was swept into a drain, police said.  He was rescued by two people nearby but did not have a pulse and was not breathing.

When an officer arrived on scene, the officer performed CPR and the child started breathing again, police said.

He was then rushed to Lehigh Valley Hospital.

There's no word on his condition.
