Hanna Jordan caught with stolen clothing and jewelry stuffed in her underwear
Incident happened at Kohl's in Lower Nazareth
A woman was caught trying to leave a department store with stolen clothing and jewelry stuffed down her pants.
Hanna M. Jordan was stopped at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday outside the Kohl's store at 3768 Easton-Nazareth Highway, Lower Nazareth Township, Northampton County, with three tops and five pieces of jewelry concealed in her undergarments, officials said.
The value of the merchandise was $96.32.
Store officials told police they saw Jordan take the clothing and jewelry into a fitting room and come out without them, and then go to the men's department, where she discarded a pair of shorts that contained a number of merchandise tags, officials said.
Jordan, who has two previous shoplifting convictions, admitted to stealing the merchandise, officials said.
Jordan, 22, of 749 Bushkill Drive, Moore Township, Northampton County, was arraigned on a retail theft charge and released on $3,500 unsecured bail, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. July 23.
