Henry Gonzalez Jr. charged with firing at people in 2 cars in Allentown
An Allentown man is facing charges after police say he fired a gun at two people in a car.
The incident happened around 10:15 p.m. Sunday while the cars were stopped at the intersection of North 10th and Turner streets.
Marilyn Guevara and Justo Coronado told police their vehicle was hit by a gunshot at the intersection. Travis Lyons and Yesalra Martinez told police their car was also hit while at the same intersection.
About 11:40 p.m. Sunday, 31-year-old Henry Gonzalez Jr. was driving in the 800 block of Turner Street when he approached an officer and said he'd recently fired his .40 caliber handgun into two vehicles in the area, police said.
Police found a Taurus .40 caliber handgun and a .22 caliber rifle inside Gonzalez's car.
Gonzalez, of 931 Hanover Avenue, was arrested and charged with discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure, recklessly endangering another person, and DUI.
He is being held at Lehigh County Prison on $75,000 bail.
