Interstate 78 has reopened following a crash on Interstate 78.

Around 9 p.m. Wednesday a one vehicle accident forced rescue crews to close the eastbound lanes of Interstate 78 in Upper Saucon Township near the Salisbury Township line.

Pennsylvania State Police say traffic backed up near mile marker 59.6, where the crash happened. That's between the Summit Lawn and Route 309 exits.

Traffic was diverted onto Lehigh Street.

One person was trapped in their vehicle, police said.

There is no word on what caused the crash.
