MOORE TWP., Pa. -

A Northampton County man has died a day after being involved in a motorcycle accident a short distance from his home.

The Lehigh County coroner's office said 48-year-old Jeffrey Handwerk died at 2:35 p.m. Thursday at St. Luke's Hospital-Fountain Hill, about 24 hours after the crash.

The accident happened on Wednesday around 2:10 p.m. at the intersection of Beersville and Dannersville roads in Moore Twp., Northampton Co.

Handwerk, of the 2800 block of Beersville Road, was operating a motorcycle and was ejected from the bike. The coroner's office said he did of blunt force head injuries. His death was ruled an accident.

The Moore Twp. police department is investigating.
