The Pennsylvania primary may have come and gone, but it looks like the race for Bethlehem mayor is just heating up.
Last month, voters selected Bob Donchez as the Democratic candidate for the position, and because he was running unopposed, it looked like he would be the next mayor of Bethlehem.
But Thursday, former Bethlehem City Council President Jim Gregory announced his plan to run for the position as an independent.
Gregory said he'll have to retire from his current job before he can officially enter the race.
Gregory also ran for mayor in 2003, but he was defeated by John Callahan.
