Joel Tillett pleads guilty to mortgage fraud
The former general manager of a now-defunct mortgage company in Allentown has admitted to fraud.
Joel Tillett, of Whitehall Twp., Lehigh Co., has pleaded guilty to conspiracy and forging loan documents.
Tillett and five of his employees at Madison Funding Inc. conspired to defraud several mortgage lenders between 2006 and 2008, investigators said.
Tillett admitted in court to submitting loan applications that contained false information to collect thousands of dollars in commission, officials said. He's facing a maximum of seven years in jail when he's sentenced in August.
