Judge Michael Koury denied teen killer Qu'eed Batts' post-sentence motions Tuesday.
Batt's motions were filed Monday by his attorneys.
The motions claimed that the acceptance of surprise evidence about Batts still being an active Bloods gang member from prison without warning the defense and the denial of immediate motions by the defense to bar this new evidence provide reason for Batts' sentence to be reconsidered.
Judge Koury maintained a life in prison without parole sentence during a May 1 re-sentencing hearing.
Batts was found guilty of murder after shooting 16-year-old Clarence Edwards twice in the head in February 2006.
