A man injured his girlfriend and put their child in danger by shattering a large glass tank in their home during a fight, officials said.
Kegan J. Handlovic cut his girlfriend's hand and foot by throwing something at the glass tank in their home in the 1200 block of Randolph Road in Bethlehem just before midnight Sunday, officials said, adding that their juvenile child was near where the glass shattered.
Handlovic then socked his girlfriend, knocking her to the ground, and continued hitting her in the face until a neighbor arrived after hearing the commotion, officials said.
Handlovic was found walking down a street with synthetic marijuana in one of his pockets by police, who were told to be on the lookout for a man in tan shorts and a tattoo on his ribs as they were sent to investigate the disturbance, officials said.
Handlovic, 23, was arraigned on charges of assault, reckless endangerment, drug possession and harassment and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $7,500 bail, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. July 19.
