A legal battle between two top Northampton County officials is heading back to the courtroom.

Earlier this year, District Attorney John Morganelli filed a lawsuit against county Executive John Stoffa and a group of other county officials.

Morganelli claimed he had been blocked from giving raises to three of his assistant prosecutors.

A judge last month ruled in his favor, however, Morganelli said Friday that Stoffa hasn't complied with the court order that he execute all the necessary paperwork for the raises.

Morganelli is now asking a judge to hold Stoffa in contempt of court.

A hearing on the matter is scheduled for next week.
