Lehigh Valley Drug and Alcohol Intake Unit reports theft of $46,000
Thefts began in 2011, police say
A drug and alcohol resource center said someone has stolen $46,000 from the organization over the past two years.
The theft was reported by the Lehigh Valley Drug and Alcohol Intake Unit, located at 44 E. Broad St. in Bethlehem, said police, who are not releasing any additional information because they said it is still an ongoing investigation.
According to its website, the Lehigh Valley Intake Unit offers a wide array of intervention, assessment, referral, case management and information services to the Lehigh Valley community. It was founded in 1985.
There are also offices at 29 S. Law St. in Allentown, and 6 S. 3rd St. in Easton.
