The Pennsylvania Department of Labor says the unemployment rate in the Lehigh Valley stayed the same in July.
A report issued Tuesday showed the jobless rate hovering at 5.9 percent, which is the same rate as the month of June.
That's the lowest unemployment rate since before the start of recession back in September of 2008.
Earlier this month, the Department of Labor released statewide jobless numbers for July.
The state's jobless rate rose one-tenth of a percentage point from June to 5.7 percent.
This was the state's first unemployment rate increase since June of 2012.
