Three Lehigh Valley libraries have joined forces and streamlined their operations to better serve the public.

Tuesday was the official launch of the Lehigh Valley Library System.

As part of the program, Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton public libraries have opened their collections to each other.

As long as you have a library card to one of those facilities, you can borrow materials from all three.

The libraries will use a van to shuttle the items back and forth.

"The driver starts at Easton, he drives to Bethlehem, then to Allentown and back to Bethlehem and ending his day at Easton, delivering crates of materials for patrons to pick up at their, what they consider their home library out of those three public libraries," said Jennifer Stocker, Easton Area Public Library.
