Lower Saucon police nab 87 drivers on Route 412
Grant used to curb aggressive driving
A total of 87 drivers have received citations for aggressive driving in the Route 412 corridor from Lower Saucon Township police.
Police conducted 100 traffic stops in that area of the township between Aug. 20 and Tuesday.
Another 13 drivers were issued written warnings.
The police department used a $2,500 grant to curb aggressive driving in the Route 412 corridor.
That effort was based on complaints from residents and other motorists, as well as a fatality and destruction of the Leithsville fire station on May 23, when a dump truck and a car collided and both vehicles crashed into the station.
