Malinda C. Horninger threw knives at husband after fight, police say
A woman threw two knives at her husband who was packing to leave their home after an argument turned physical, officials said.
Malinda C. Horninger flung the cutlery at her spouse after she had grabbed him around the neck and he ran with some of his belongings onto the rear deck of their home in the 3900 block of Bruce Lane, Bethlehem Township, Northampton Co., around 7:50 p.m. Sunday, officials said.
Horninger's husband picked up the knives and gave them to police, who arrived after he called called 911, officials added.
Horninger's husband told police he and his wife began arguing when he came home from work and he found her drinking, officials said.
Although he kept his distance and she eventually passed out while cooking dinner, Horninger attacked her husband when she awoke, officials said, noting that he used his cell phone to film the altercation.
Horninger screamed loudly during the time after she was handcuffed in a police car while officers watched the cell phone video, officials said.
Horninger, 43, was arraigned on charges of assault and reckless endangerment and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $5,000 bail, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. Aug. 8.
