BATH, Pa. -

A man socked his step-son several times in the back yard of their home and then hit him again as the step-son was walking away, officials said.

Scott A. Gordon pushed Scott O. Border Jr. into a fence before punching him once on the jaw and twice on the mouth around 5:40 p.m. Saturday in the back yard of their home at 136 North Walnut St., Bath, Northampton Co., officials said.

Gordon also punched Border in the back as he walked away, officials added.

Court papers do not say what sparked the attack.

Gordon, 50, was arraigned on charges of assault and harassment and released on $2,500 unsecured bail, according to court documents.
