Man charged with exposing himself to woman, daughter in fast-food restaurant
Incident occurred two weeks ago in Bethlehem McDonald's
A man is in trouble with the law for exposing himself to a woman and her young daughter while sitting across from them at a fast food restaurant two weeks ago, officials said.
Robert Roth was seen by the woman exposing himself underneath the table he was sitting at in the McDonald's at 442 Wyandotte St., Bethlehem, at 11:35 a.m. May 22, officials said.
The woman's 4-year-old daughter had said hello to Roth, who replied, "Hello, beautiful," before dropping his drawers, officials added.
The restaurant manager confronted Roth after the woman complained, and eventually threw him out because Roth kept repeating that his his laundry was at the laundromat, officials said.
Police were able to determine Roth's identity through store surveillance tape and with help from McDonald's employees who recognized him as a regular customer, officials said.
Roth, 66, of 435 Wyandotte St., Bethlehem, was arraigned early Tuesday morning on charges of indecent exposure and disorderly conduct and released on $10,000 unsecured bail, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. June 20.
