ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

A shooting in Allentown early Sunday has police investigating.

Officials say they were called out to the 600 block of Silk Street around 3:37 a.m. Sunday.

Police found a man with a bullet wound to his leg. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was treated for his injuries. He is expected to be okay.

Police say it all started with an altercation at the North End Republican Club at 645 N. Eighth St.

They have not released any other details on what may have started the altercation.

Police say an investigation is ongoing.
