Man who ran from authorities two months ago charged with drug dealing, police say
A man who ran from police while they were executing a search warrant two months ago is facing drug charges, officials said.
Tracy L. Evans was captured after injuring himself in a fall while running from a home police were searching in the 700 block of East 4th Street in Bethlehem around 6:50 p.m. Oct. 9, officials said.
Evans had crack cocaine and $716 in cash on him when he was caught, officials said.
When Evans cell phone was searched, police determined he was involved in selling drugs, officials said.
Evans, 39, of 67 East 5th St., Bethlehem, was arraigned Saturday on charges of criminal use of a communication facility and drug possession with intent to deliver and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $40,000 bail, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. Dec. 27.
