BETHLEHEM TWP., Pa. -

A Northampton County man's legs were crushed in a farming accident Saturday, police said.

The accident happened around 5 p.m. at the Koehler Farms, located at 4209 Freemansburg Avenue in Bethlehem Twp.

Police said the bucket of a John Deere loader dropped onto the legs of 38-year-old Sidney Miranda.

Miranda was working on repairing the loader along with 38-year-old Paul Senick Jr., both of Bethlehem Twp.

Miranda was taken by ambulance to St. Luke's Hospital in Fountain Hill for treatment.

Senick was not hurt.

Farm owner Dale Koehler said both Miranda and Senick were independent contractors and not Koehler Farms employees.
