PALMER TWP., Pa. -

A Monroe County man who used to work for a Northampton County company that sells overhead doors is in the slammer because he kept two cell phones issued to him by his former employer, officials said.

William D. Farrow didn't return a $399.99 Samsung Galaxy S3 and a $699.99 Samsung Galaxy S4 to A-Tech Suburban Inc., 14 McFadden Road, Palmer Township, Northampton Co., after he was fired about two months ago, officials said.

In a letter dated Oct. 14, A-Tech gave Farrow an Oct. 21 deadline to return the phones, but Farrow never responded, officials said.

Farrow, 26, of 142 View Court, Mount Pocono, was arraigned Friday night on charges of theft, theft by deception and receiving stolen property and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $7,500 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 11 a.m. Dec.10.
