A Montgomery County man living in Moravian College housing stalked and assaulted a woman, officials said.

Julian Gentile, who lives in Burnside House, 290 West Laurel St., Bethlehem, made a series of threats over the phone and in text messages to the woman before attacking her in her residence between 10:55 and 11:05 p.m. Saturday, officials said.

Gentile shoved the woman, grabbed her by the arms, pushed her against a wall and hit in the ribs with his elbows, officials said.

Court papers do not say where the woman lives, or explain the relationship between her and Gentile.

Gentile, 21, of 1906 Laura Lane, Pottstown, was arraigned Sunday morning on charges of stalking, assault, harassment and criminal trespass and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $10,000 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 11 a.m. Sept. 17.
