Mulgrew Miller, noted jazz musician who lived in Easton, dies
Celebrated jazz pianist and Easton resident Mulgrew Miller has died.
Miller died at Lehigh Valley Hospital near Allentown on Wednesday from complications of a stroke.
Miller was born in Mississippi in 1955. He went on to make a name for himself as a band leader and as a solo artist.
Miller was a teacher at William Paterson University in New Jersey.
In 2006, Lafayette College awarded him an honorary degree of doctor of performing arts. He also served as the school's artist in residence two years later.
Miller was 57-years-old.
