State police are investigating a Northampton County house burglary that was interrupted when the owner came home.
The incident happened between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. sometime between May 20 and June 29, in the 1500 block of Morgan Hill Road in Williams Township, according to police.
The homeowner found a maroon-colored vehicle with New Jersey plates parked in his driveway when he arrived home.
He was met by a male who walked from behind the home.
The man claimed he was looking for his lost dog.
The victims did not immediately realize he interrupted a burglary because he apparently did so before anything could be taken.
