HANOVER TWP., Pa. -

One person was killed and three firefighters were injured in a fire at a house in Northampton County on Monday night.

The fire, which was reported around 9:30 p.m., also heavily damaged a single-family residence at 1930 Mark Twain Circle in Hanover Township.

The three firefighters suffered non-life threatening injuries, officials said.

Fire officials said the fire hydrant was buried in snow and crews had to dig it out. Authorities said the fire was under control in about three hours.

The Northampton County coroner has not yet identified the person who died in the fire.
