The Friday morning commute was brought to a crawl in Lehigh County after an accident involving a tanker.

It happened in the eastbound lanes of Route 22 near the Tilghman Street ramp in Upper Macungie Twp., around 6 a.m.

Officials say the tanker flipped onto its side and spilled fuel all over.

No injuries were reported.

However, Route 22 was closed from the Interstate 78 split in western Lehigh County to the Tilghman Street esit for about two hours.

PennDOT was on the scene all morning cleaning up the mess.
