A Lehigh County library has lost a fight over taxes.

A judge has ruled against the Parkland Community Library's challenge of the Parkland School District, both located in South Whitehall Twp.

Last month  the district board of directors reduced a tax that funds the library from .3 to .1 mills.

The library argued that only voters could change the tax since the tax was voter-approved in the first place.

But the district says it had to bring the tax in line with a recent property reassessment and the judge agreed.
