Plane crashes in Allen Township

ALLEN TWP., Pa. -

For the second time in a day, crews in the Lehigh Valley responded to reports of a plane in trouble.

A plane crash was reported in the area of Valley Road and Becker Road in Allen Township, Northampton County around 7 p.m. Thursday.

According to the FFA, a Cessna (C-152) aircraft with two people on board made a forced landing in a field. There were no injuries reported and the extent of damage to the aircraft, if any, hasn't been determined yet. The FAA is investigating.

Earlier Thursday, a plane flipped over at the Slatington Airport.

That pilot was taken to the hospital.

A spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration said the pilot was landing a small, single-engine Cessna L-19 when it flipped on the runway.
