The lawyer for the owner of a strip club raided by state and city police and Liquor Control Enforcement said the club did not know of the illegal activities allegedly happening inside the building.
Eleven dancers from Platinum Plus in Allentown were charged Thursday in a prostitution sting.
The owner's lawyer released this statement Friday:
"I want to point out that my client has not been charged with any crime. All the other individuals are innocent until proven guilty and the allegations must be proven in court.
Since opening, a little over a year ago, my client has had, and will continue to have, a proactive and cooperative relationship with law enforcement.
They do not promote or permit illegal activity in their establishment."
Law enforcement received numerous anonymous tips to the possibility of illegal activity at the club. Undercover officers investigated and found some of the dancers were offering sex for cash.
All 11 of the women were charged with misdemeanor soliciting prostitution.
