ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

Police in Allentown said they've arrested an 18-year-old man who they believe is responsible for a shooting that took place earlier this year.

Derell Cintron was taken into custody early Sunday morning, officials said.

Cintron is responsible for the March 17 shooting in the 1300 block of Chew Street, police said.

One person was shot multiple times while another was seriously injured from debris in the shooting. Both survived.

Cintron was not legally allowed to carry a firearm, police said. He was charged with felony gun charges as well as two counts of attempted homicide.

Cintron was 17 at the time of the incident, but officials said he is being tried as an adult. He was committed to the Lehigh County Prison on $15,000 bail.
