A New York woman is facing charges after police say she tried to steal hundreds of dollars worth of electronics from a Northampton County store.
Officials say Heather West, 28, of Gloversville, NY, has been charged with retail theft.
Colonial Regional Police say they responded to the Target Store on Dryland Way in Lower Nazareth Township on March 15th.
They say West placed an iPad valued at $500 in a bag. Then, they say she paid for Swedish fish candy and a bottle of water before trying to leave. She was stopped by police and security officers in the vestibule of the store.
Officials say the day before, West stole a Nikon camera worth $900 from the same Target. Police say the incident was captured on surveillance camera.
West is being held in Northampton County Prison on two counts of retail theft.
