A man is in trouble with the law for nailing another man in the head with a hammer, officials said.
Michael Devine hit Javier Esparra with a hammer around 3:35 p.m. Saturday at 250 Ann St., Easton, officials said.
Esparra was taken to the hospital for treatment after the attack, officials said.
Court papers do not say why Devine hit Esparra, or if the two men knew each other.
Devine, 54, of 4002 Evergreen Drive, Bethlehem Township, Northampton Co., was arraigned on charges of aggravated and simple assault and reckless endangerment and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $20,000 bail, according to court documents.
A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. July 30.
