LOWER NAZARETH TWP., Pa. -

Colonial Regional Police are seeking information about Jarvis "Hood' Curtis of Easton,  who escaped from a local hospital after being taken into custody on drug charges last month.

On April 21, Colonial Regional Police and the Northampton County Drug Task Force were conducting an undercover investigation into the purchase of heroin.

Police observed Curtis sell $80 worth of heroin to "a cooperating individual" in the parking lot of Northampton Crossings Mall in Lower Nazareth Township.

After the deal was completed, police stopped the vehicle Curtis and another male were in, which was southbound on Route 33, and took both men into custody.

The other male, 29-year-old Charles Landreth of Easton, was arrested on outstanding warrants from Northampton County and will be charged with possession of drug paraphernalia via summons.

When Curtis was taken to police headquarters for processing, he started to complain of stomach pains. He was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem for evaluation.

While in the hospital, Curtis removed his IV and left.

He is wanted for delivery of a controlled substance.

Curtis is described as a 28-year-old black male who resides along Valley Avenue in Easton.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts should contact Colonial Regional Police at 610-861-4820.
