Standoff ends in Northampton County; 2 people in custody
Two people have been taken into custody after an hours-long standoff in Northampton County, officials said.
The situation began to unfold around 10 a.m. Wednesday at a home on Hanover Street in East Allen Township.
Pennsylvania State Police said they were attempting to serve a warrant at the property. When the man they were trying to serve realized the troopers were there, police say he and two other people ran into a nearby shed.
That led to a lengthy standoff that ended peacefully around 3 p.m. Township officials said two people were taken into custody, but it wasn't immediately clear what charges they are facing.
