Reward offered to stop person luring Wilson children
Anonymous businessman offers $1,000
A $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons trying to lure children into a vehicle is being offered by an anonymous Wilson Borough businessman.
The borough police department was contacted by the businessman offering the reward on Friday.
"The police department is very grateful for the offer and hopes that these cases are resolved quickly," said police chief Steven Parkansky.
He said the businessman wants to remain anonymous.
This week there have been four attempts to lure children -- and one 24-year-old woman -- into a vehicle. It happened three times in Wilson and once in neighboring Easton.
Police are searching for a green mini-van, possibly a Dodge Caravan. It was described as dented or beat up looking. The suspect was described as a white male in his 40's of 50's with either blonde or gray hair in a pony tail.
The police chief encouraged anyone with information to call his department at 610-258-8746. Or call 610-258-8542 and ask for Detective Marc Crisafulli.
