A school bus and farm tractor were involved in an accident near Route 308 in Bushkill Twp.
Police said on Thursday, at about 4 p.m. a farm tractor struck a school bus carrying two students.
The accident occurred when David Lilly pulled out of his private lane with his farm tractor. At that same time, a school bus was traveling east on Kromer Rd. along a wooded area.
The wheels of Lilly's tractor did not reach the roadway but the front bucket with forks attached came into the eastbound travel lane.
The bus driver, Deborah Brumbaugh, noticed the tractor coming out on the road so she stepped on her brakes as she swerved into the westbound lane.
Police said the raised forks of the tractor struck the bus around the midway area of the passenger side.
Lilly said he did not see the bus coming until it was right in front of him and he reacted by raising the bucket as the bus went by but could not avoid the impact.
According to police about ten windows and window frames on the bus were damaged. The damage went from about midway to the rear of the bus.
Although no injuries were reported, Bushkill EMS were called to the scene.
The bus driver, tractor driver and the guardians for the two students refused to be transported to the hospital via ambulance and police said none of the drivers complained of injuries and none displayed signs of impairment.
