State police in Lehigh County investigate deadly hit-and-run

LOWER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP, Pa. -

State Police in Lehigh County say a pedestrian from Bethlehem was killed in an apparent hit-and-run Friday night on Route 222 in Lower Macungie Township.

Police say 36-year-old Micheal Mason was found lying along the roadway by a passing motorist around 7:55 p.m.

Police say Mason, who was wearing a reflective safety vest, died as a result of injuries.

The cause and manner of death are still being investigated by State Police and the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.
