BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

It's a parade that's a labor of love for folks in Bethlehem.

The local 2599 Steelworkers union held its annual Labor Day Parade Sunday morning.

People lined up to check out the wide variety the bands and union members who marched through the streets.

Organizers hope the holiday's message isn't lost.

Jerry Greene, President of Local 2599 United Steelworkers, said, "It doesn't matter if you are union or nonunion. You should be celebrating this day. You should appreciate what your forefathers did for us and certainly come out and certainly express your feelings on what you think about labor."

Members of area unions were urged to wear their colors and bring flags.
