Butztown community members who wish to mail out letters and parcels at the post office will have to find somewhere else to do so for now.
Post office officials say they were forced to close the facility for retail service because of water damage from last week's storm.
According to Karen Mazurkiewicz, spokesperson for USPS, the USPS is still determining the extent of the damage.
She says there are no carriers at the office so mail delivery is not impacted.
Post office Box mail is still, however, accessible at this time.
Officials say when the facility is cleared, the retail portion of the post office will be reopened.
